Hanalei Cafe

This cafe served our favorite meal in the island! Their espresso is divine, and their breakfast fantastic. The two gentlemen working were very nice and provided excellent service. Wish our trip was longer so we could go back again! Hanalei Cafe is worth your visit.

Delicious smoothies and goat cheese salad! Everything was fresh and generous portions. My brother got a chicken quinoa bowl which looked amazing! The owner was very warm and welcoming too :)

Dana the owner absolutely made our day. She is so friendly and welcoming and prepares all of her food with love. She made us a smoothie that was so out of this world we came back the next day. She made us lattes, smoothies, and a delicious avocado mozzarella toast with a fresh salad with lots of vegetables. If you want healthy and delicious food this place is sure to brighten your day. Delicious food and the most lovely owner! We seriously had the best acai bowl ever (and we eat a lot of them). Dana, the owner, pours her heart into her business and it shows. With every order, you get to pick your fruits and vegetables that go in it because everything is made to order. Thank you, Dana!

As a resident of Kauai, people are always asking for little hole-in-the-wall places where good food and friendly service can be found. Hanalei Cafe is just that place. Dana, the owner and food preparer, loves serving locals and tourists alike. Her limited breakfast and lunch menu is made to order with fresh ingredients. Try the avocado toast with fresh mozzarella or salmon! A mixed salad comes with it, making it a full meal. Sit at the table or take your order to the beach. Either way you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing! So fresh. Well-crafted local food served on a cute little back patio. The rainbow chicken is quite possibly the best salad I’ve ever eaten, including upscale restaurants in Portland and New York. Make the effort to seek out this hidden gem. Well worth it.

We came here on a whim with our 14mo. They had a high chair for him which was clutch. My husband ordered the turkey and brie sandwich and I had a chicken bacon ranch wrap. Both were made to order and out of this world. We got an avocado toast for our little guy which came with bacon and fried egg on top. He LOVED it. All the meals came with a deliciously fresh salad. Dana, the owner, was an absolute sweetheart. She gave our son some frozen mango from her mango tree which was perfect for our teething little guy. She also brought him some blueberries (his favorite!) And a mini banana which he gobbled up. What a great experience we had in this little nook of hanalei

I never leave reviews of places but this place is just the special. The owner is extremely kind and friendly, makes you feel like you are at a family members house. The coffee is always spot on, some of the best I have had in the states let alone Hawaii. The avacado toast was amazing! Cooked exactly to order with a great blend of spice and a perfectly cooked egg on top. If you are ever in hanalei, absolutely give this place a try! You won't regret it.
